In fall of 2012, a then recently graduated 23 year old Lauren Watkins was presented an opportunity to continue her tailoring background through what she claims were ‘graces of the universe,’ to build a brand and a company in custom suiting. A former client who probably had more faith in her than she did at the time, felt she was fit for the challenge and they set off to dominate a world no one had seemed to take advantage of in the way they envisioned.

She never expected to work in fashion, but a passion for great design and purpose had been found in her studies of Urban Planning and she saw a similarity with poorly

designed cities and the poorly structured retail industry which led her to build Urbana Custom Clothier. She hasn’t looked back since.

Our team consists of young visionaries held together by a shared passion in providing an efficient way to shop. We believe in creating products that are designed to fit the individual – both in style and in fit. Our brand is a collaboration of our inspirations, gifts, and hard work. Urbana continues to grow from this collective group of individuals and through our supportive consumers who we can't thank enough for being a part of the Urbana community.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a foundation that raises funds for research in hopes to find a cure for men's prostate cancer- and we're doing it in style. The DGR boosts awareness from the motorcycle culture, all while dressed like proper gents. This event has grown globally and Salt Lake City entered the cause in 2014 thanks to a tight knit, local, moto-activist crew.

The motorcycle scene in Salt Lake City is catching on and we are rising to the occasion for the cause. Urbana is a proud sponsor for this event and we couldn’t be more thrilled to combine our two biggest obsessions (suits and bikes) for the foundation. We have spent the last two years collaborating with local motorcycle enthusiast to create awareness in our community for the ride. Percentage of proceeds from any rider wearing Urbana is donated back to the foundation.

~ 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

~ Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15 – 34 years.

~ More than four times as many men as women die by suicide in the United States.

Putting action where it's needed, the Movemeber Foundation started from humble beginnings in Australia in 2003 and the Movember movement has grown to a global one, inspiring support from over 5 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas around the world.

Urbana supports this cause by teaming up with Garrett Michael Barber Shop and auctions off a custom suit every year. It's a fun event GM Barber hosts to remind us we're part of something bigger, united by a commitment to help change the face of men’s health.

Stay tuned for the next event, but untill then – I mustache you a question...
